The Story of DJ Shaun Lamm
Shaun Lamm has a passion for Carolina Beach Music promotion & preservation
I always give credit to my parents for my love of Carolina Beach Music. It seems that every weekend, when i was just a kid, we were at a festival somewhere. The Embers, The Chairman of the Board, Band of Oz ….the list goes on. As I got older, I lost touch with the Beach music world and began to play in Southern Gospel and Country Bands. It wasn’t until 2010, when I started my DJ Business, SoundWaves DJ Service that my love for beach music reappeared. I began collecting and downloading everything I could find. A few years later, I launched my own internet radio station before joining Beach, Shag Rhythm and Blues Internet Radio. I eventually took ownership of Beach Shag Rhythm and Blues Radio and operated until 2021. I moved my own show, Shaun Lamm’s Beach Jams, to terrestrial radio in 2017, while keeping the internet station going to provide a platform for several other Djs to share their love of the music. In May of 2023, I had the opportunity to join a new Carolina Beach Music Station, 99.3 The Beach bringing not only Shaun Lamm’s Beach Jams, but also a new morning show, Sunrise on The Beach.
I’ve met so many people through this industry, received an overwhelming amount of support and made lifelong memories. It is truly an honor to be able to bring this music and share my passion with people through both the radio and mobile events. I want to personally thank every listener, sponsor, venue and station that has allowed me to live out my dream!
